A Message to Military Veterans and Law Enforcement Officers
If you're a military veteran or a law enforcement officer, you may wonder why Gangsters Anonymous would invite you to read any further. You may even fear that accepting help from G.A. would cause others to stereotype you or question your honor, integrity, or service.
That is not what Gangsters Anonymous is about.
G.A. does not teach that military veterans, police officers, or other public servants are gangsters or criminals. We recognize the courage, discipline, sacrifice, and commitment required to serve and protect others.
We also recognize a simple truth: human beings can become conditioned by repeated exposure to violence, danger, trauma, or destructive patterns of thinking. How that conditioning began is not what defines a person. More importantly, it does not determine their future.
Gangsters Anonymous is not interested in judging your past or comparing your experiences with anyone else's. We are interested in one question:
"How can we help you live a healthier, more peaceful, and more purposeful life today?"

If you struggle with anger, revenge, violence, destructive thinking, addiction, or the emotional weight of experiences that are difficult to leave behind, you are not alone. Recovery begins when we become willing to examine ourselves honestly and embrace a new way of living.
Your profession does not define you. Your past does not imprison you. Your future is still yours to build.
Whether you served your country, protected your community, or simply want freedom from destructive thinking, Gangsters Anonymous welcomes every person who sincerely desires a better way of life.
Recovery has no stereotype. Recovery has no uniform. Recovery begins with willingness.
